BOCA RATON, FLORIDA- Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services in conjunction with the Firefighters and Paramedics Benevolent Fund, Inc. will be hosting the 33rd Annual Boca Burn Softball Tournament. The tournament will be held the new Spanish River Athletic Complex, Countess De Hoernle Park, 1501 Spanish River Blvd., Boca Raton. Tournament games begin at 8:00 am on Saturday April 6th and continue through Sunday April 7th 2007. The public is invited to attend and admission is free. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Children’s Burn Camp of Florida. This camp is part of the Children’s Burn Foundation of Florida Inc. Every year Firefighters from Boca Raton volunteer a weekend at burn camp as a “burn buddy”. This getaway provides children, who are burn victims, a weekend of fun and entertainment while interacting with other children and Emergency Service Personnel. Twenty-four softball teams, from across the state of Florida will be competing in this charitable event. Your tax-deductible donations are welcome and can be made to the Boca Raton Firefighters and Paramedics Benevolent Fund. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Burn Foundation of Florida, Inc. Last year the firefighters raised over five thousand dollars for the Children’s Burn Foundation. We look forward in seeing you, your family and friends to join your firefighters in a fun filled weekend of softball.
